Have You Ever Destroyed a Gift Mix?

The following post is from RK2590, who submitted it to the I Made You a Mix Tape group in the Buzz Community.

I recently caught up on one of my new favorite shows, Parenthood (Peter Krause FTW). Anyway, in the ep, 15-year-old Haddie has a sleepover party to help get over her ex-boyfriend. One of her friends finds some burned CDs and realizes that they all came from Haddie's dreaded ex. Though Haddie protests at first, her friends starts a frenzy of cracking all the CDs in half as a means to destroy any mementos of the relationship. For me, mix tapes and CDs are meant to be cherished. Even if they drudge up tough feelings, I still like keeping 'em around — and hey, I'd be lying if I said my exes didn't introduce me to some good tunes. What about you?

I threw mine away, but only because I didn't want my husband to think I still had them on my mind. It wasn't even painful for me to listen to them, because I have had zero feelings for any of my exes for a long time.
