Last year, Clint Eastwood and Matt Damon teamed up for the Nelson Mandela biopic Invictus, but their latest collaboration ain't no inspirational sports movie. Hereafter focuses on George (Matt Damon), a former psychic who's trying to get away from his ability to communicate with the dead. Unfortunately his so-called curse continues to haunt him as people all over the world (including a young boy in England who's lost his twin brother and a survivor of the Thailand tsunami) seek his help to come to terms with death.
The film looks like something fresh for both Damon and Eastwood, which is one of the reasons why it landed on my list of must-see Fall movies. I thought Invictus was solid but not Eastwood's best, so here's hoping this supernatural thriller will push the envelope. The film hits theaters Oct. 22, but watch the trailer when you read more.
