actually dani, i prefer movies with a good story. i thought avatar's was weak. pretty to look at...but weak. that's why the better movie won...it didn't need all the special effects!

the problem is that most of the people who voted in this poll didnt even see the movie and they just think the hurt locker should win bc that is what everyone is saying. the hurt locker was terrific, no denying it, but when it comes to BEST picture avator should have taken it. avatar was amazing and ground breaking, just the development alone should have earned it best picture.

I disagree. This movie was painful to watch. I wished it was over half way through the film. The only good thing about it was Jeremy Renner.

YES! I let out a squeal when they announced this one - I thought this was a great film. I'm so glad Avatar didn't win.
