oh, no, no no, you can't do that to me. They will hunt me down. I wanted her back, and so I went after that part of the full force of every single person that works for me in this industry. Now it sounds like you haven't gotten the script for the start of season two, so when are guys going to go back to work? We don't go back until April, and then show will air in June, yeah, much to the dismay of many fans. I know, that's a long wait. I was at a Q;A this weekend, and they were, the people are just going nuts, which is great, but, you know, we are anxious to get back and, like, finally give them More excited to see what season two brings. Well, the stakes were really raised a lot this season with different story lines and, you know, especially Mike kind of being caught between these two women. Right. Where do you think that's gonna go? Who do you think he will end up with? Oh, no no no, you can't do that to me! They will hunt me down. You've got the woman, you know, you've got the couple that that you fight for, Right. And clearly, people are really fighting for the idea of Mike and Rachel being together, which I love and Megan loves, we love that. I think it would just be too easy and not realistic if these Two people just decided, yeah let's do this. They do come from very different worlds, and Mike, I think, has to overcome a lot of his own insecurities before he can deal with a woman as complicated confident as, as, and as committed and as talented as Rachel's character. What are some of the craziest things you've learned about the law a lawyer. You can actually become a lawyer without going to law school in certain states, um, and I guess that's how Lincoln became a lawyer lawyer, which is Interesting. Because it, you know, before there were a lot of law schools, they had to have ways to become a lawyer, so you could actually become a lawyer by basically mentoring with another lawyer. So, I thought that really relevant to our show. That being said, we move so quickly on set, too, that there's so little time to learn this stuff, so there are definitely moments when you catch yourself saying something I have no idea. Right. I can tell you right now. I'm really curious, too, how you sort of came up with the character of Mike. I mean, he's a very complicated guy, you incredibly smart photographic memory. How do you sort of build a character like that? For me, it was just such a gift to read a script where, you know, the lead guy essentially The lead is not, like, the coolest guy in the world, he's not the most talented and together guy cause that's what you go out for a lot. Sure. And, you know, I spend a lot of time auditioning for parts, trying to seem like I'm the coolest guy in the room but there's way more cooler guys on the corner. For me, I've always been attracted to the And things that kind of make people a little bit broken, and it's just fun to play something that they really have to overcome, and I think that that's more like me. And so when I read Mike, I Well, that's amazing, about a guy who, you know, while there's heroic qualities and he's overcoming diversity and he's really, like, standing up and trying to figure he's really a broken guy, he's had a really difficult time and he's coming from a place where there's a lot of darkness and a lot of, you know, a lot of things troubling him that he To get over in order to succeed. Tell me a little about working with Gabriel. You guys have such a rapport on screen. Seems like you guys are pretty good friends off camera. I can't stand him. Oh, really? No, he's terrible, no. We get along so well, we were almost like brothers instantly. I spend a lot of time with his wife and his family now, and she always remarks on how completely similar we are, how rare That is, I guess, in this business, a lot of actors are just difficult sometimes. Sure. You know, there's an ego involved or something, and so when we first met, we sat down from each other, cause we didn't test or do any of that. We went to lunch and sort of sat across the table from each other, and were just like, waiting for the moment. We sat there for about five minutes, and then all of a sudden and I started talking about my family, and he started talking about his family and by the end of that lunch I think that we knew that we were totally simpatico, that we were on the same playing field. What was it like to get the call that you got the part on luck. I mean, HBO shows have been so outstanding in recent years; amazing actors on the show. Yea for actors especially, I think. I never thought I would get that part. All of my stuff was working closely with Dustin and Michael Gamblong and Dennis Farino, so I just got to go and do this for, basically, a master class. Everyday at work, working closely with Dustin's character to help him with some stuff. Now, you mentioned your lovely girlfriend who's on Pretty Little Liars. Yeah. So I kind of wanted to ask you if you were to guest star on her show if she, I already have. Wait, you did? Yeah, I'm on it. Wait, when? I'm on it, it's such a funny story. She broke up with me. Troian broke up with me, and I didn't want to break up. I wanted, I knew that this was the right The next day, completely un-ironically, I got an audition for her show, for a very small part on her show. A part that, at that point in my career, I would not have typically gone out for, because it was like one day of work, on "Pretty Little Liars." But then you wanted that part, I'm guessing. I wanted her back, and so I went, I went after that part with the full force of every single person you know, what works for me in this industry. I had everyone on the phone calling, saying we're gonna get this part, we're gonna get this part, prepared for this Pretty Little Liars audition more than I've prepared for anything in my life. And got the part, and shot the day. Of course, the day had nothing to do, you know, I didn't interact with her character on the show at all. But by virtue... for being there and being invited to the table read. And, and shooting the show, we ended up getting back together a couple of weeks ago. Yes, now we're still together. So, you wormed your way back in my way back in. And now that "Suits" has been so popular, a lot of "Pretty Little Liars" fans have sort of found out that I was on this show, and now they're demanding that I come back to the show. Okay. Would you be into it? I'm trying to get a Twitter following Well, Patrick, we'll have to be patient for "Suits" to return, but really looking forward to "Luck." Thank you so much. Thank you.
