Harry Potter mastermind J.K. Rowling has been teasing fans for the past week with the promise of a mysterious new website called Pottermore. Rumors about the site spread like wildfire; some speculated that there would be new Potter stories, while others believed that Rowling was developing an interactive game. The speculation was finally put to rest when Rowling announced today that the site will actually be a new "online reading experience" that will present an interactive way to read the Potter books. In addition, the entire series will available as e-books for the first time when the free site launches in October.
The interactive reading experience sounds like it'll be great for kids and new Potter fans, but I'm most excited by Rowling's promise of new details on our old favorite characters. She's promised to flesh out the stories even further, which I'll happily soak up as the final movie approaches. So, now that the cat's out of the bag, are you excited about Pottermore?
