Jason Segel and Kermit the Frog made an appearance at D23 this morning at the Anaheim Convention Center to chat about The Muppets. The duo weren't joined by leading lady Amy Adams, though another of the film's female stars, Miss Piggy, did arrive shortly after Kermit and Jason took the stage. In typical spotlight-hogging fashion, Piggy was chauffeured to the Disney expo in the sidecar of a motorcycle by a tough-looking biker companion! In Amy's absence today, Jason, Kermit, and Piggy played two never-before-seen clips from the film. One featured Jason and Amy visiting Kermit at his swanky home in Bel-Air, while the other was a musical number that showed the whole gang tidying up the long-abandoned Muppet Theater to the tune of "We Built this City." We were behind the scenes on The Muppets set this Winter and had a chance to chat with Amy about taking on the role, as well as the fun she had introducing her young daughter, Aviana, to her cuddly costars. Today, after Jason shared the preview with fans and media, he stopped to talk with us about the passion project backstage. Many details about the movie have been kept under wraps, and he told us that his friends and family have been "respectful" about his desire to make the film a surprise and have generally avoided grilling him for spoilers. Stay tuned for the next PopSugar Rush to watch our full interview with him and to see more of our D23 coverage from this weekend!
