Jim Parsons Wins Emmy For Best Actor in a Comedy 2011

Jim Parsons Wins the Emmy For Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series

He's done it again! Jim Parsons is this year's Emmy winner for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series for his work on The Big Bang Theory. He beat out his costar Johnny Galecki for The Big Bang Theory, Alec Baldwin of 30 Rock, Louis C.K. for Louie, The Office's Steve Carell, and Matt LeBlanc for Episodes. A lot of us had our fingers crossed for Carell to take it home for his final season as Michael Scott, but were you pulling for Parsons?

I was definitely pulling for Jim, but like everybody else, I thought this would be Steve Carrell's year. Poor guy! But very happy for Parsons because TBBT is my favorite show (The Office has been a little uneven for me at times). :)

I was pulling for Parsons in the sense that I think he's completely brilliant on TBBT, but I really thought he and Johnny Galecki would split the vote, leaving Carrell to win. I don't watch The Office, though, so I don't know how their acting compares.

I agree with pke14! Steve Carell was definitely robbed! This should have been his year!
