Jurassic Park Sequel

Continue or Kill: Jurassic Park

These days if the Hollywood bigwigs aren't remaking something, they're tacking on more sequels to an existing franchise. Franchises are getting reboots and TV shows are being brought back to life with all new casts. Sometimes it can be a good thing (Star Trek) but certain ideas probably should have been killed (cough! 90210 cough!).

So instead of lamenting remake or reboot ideas right off the bat, I thought I'd put it to a vote.

Recently producer Frank Marshall talked about some upcoming projects, including Jurassic Park 4. They don't have a story yet and Marshall says the story is what will decide if this project goes through or not. So it's not a done deal! Like so many others, I am a big fan of the first Jurassic Park movie, but the sequels . . . not so much.

What do you think? Should they try to revive this dinosaur franchise? Or let it go extinct?

I'm working on a method to bring Jurassic Park 3 back so that I can kill it repeatedly. Hmmm, maybe I could make it into a theme park to help defray costs...

Huge fan of the book and the original movie, if it can be done right, I'd LOVE to see another sequel!

depends on the writer/director combo... it could be amazing or a complete miss. change up the cast. less animation.

OK, there hasn't been a good Jurassic Park since the first one (which was amazing!). The second and third were mediocre at best, so why try another sequel. We're just going to get a lackluster storyline in place of fake-looking completely animated dinosaurs as opposed to a mix of the CGI and puppets, with "scary" situations to shock the viewers.

The original Jurassic Park movie was my absolute favorite when I was growing up, and I have fond memories of Raptors caring the bejesus out of me in a bay area theater. Another sequel? Yes! Please! Imagine JJ Abrams directing a Jurassic Park sequel!

I would love another Jurassic Park movie! I am getting sick of all the remakes but i would be happy with a new JP movie.

I've been pining for the 90's a lot lately, so even though part of me is saying "Are you kidding me?!" the other part is nodding in approval.

OMG I love all of the JP movies, especially the first one. I would like all fo the original cast bag..including Jeff Goldblum and the kids.

Kill. I think the first one was so amazing because of the mix of CGI and puppetry. The dinos look the most realistic in the first one...they went a little nuts with the computerized effects in the 2 sequels. Not to mention the storylines were a tad ridiculous in 2 & 3 as well. It would probably just spin out of control in a 4th movie too.

There's so many potentially good ideas for a sequel!!!! I mean HONESTLY, with known dinosaurs in the world, you really think people wouldn't be clamoring to see them, with disastrous results?? You don't think the government wouldn't be studying them, or trying to use them for nefarious means? PLEASE go through!

I loved the first one. The scene in the kitchen with the velociraptors always terrifies me!

I love the whole idea of JP. I just want it to be REALLY good. I mean scary, violent, smart. And with no Jeff Goldblum. Laura Dern and Sam O'Neil for sure-

It just depends. I LOVED Jurassic Park. The dinosaurs were SO awesome. I wouldn't want them to like 100% CGI it up like they do in every movie now-a-days. But with the right people it could be good. Like get back some of the originals. I don't think some of them are doing anything!
