In case you missed it, '80s and '90s boy bands New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys have joined up as a grownup boy band (man band?) supergroup. They've dropped a single today called "Don't Turn Out the Lights," and surprisingly, I actually don't hate it. In fact, I like it.
Sure, there may be some residual nostalgia from my days as a young worshiper of NKOTB, but I'm not too proud to admit that I can get down with lightweight, fun pop music à la Britney Spears's new album or Enrique Iglesias (who coincidentally has a song with a very similar title). So if you ever had any sort of boy band love, I recommend giving the song a play — and then let me know what you think.
