Miley Cyrus Lets Go of the Past in the Emotional "Slide Away" Music Video

Miley Cyrus is moving on. After surprising fans with her song "Slide Away," Cyrus has released the music video for the track, and it's an emotional ode to her relationship with Liam Hemsworth.

In the video, Cyrus understandably can't get into the party spirit, yet is surrounded by tons of alcohol and the aftermath of what should have been a fun night. Just like the lyrics imply she's learning to move on from Hemsworth, Cyrus is moving on from that lifestyle in the video. She released the song Aug. 16 and it's already being praised as the breakup anthem of the year. Now, we have the emotional visuals to match, and fans can feel her heartbreak.

Cyrus and Hemsworth met on the set of The Last Song in 2009, and dated on and off for about 10 years. In the video, we see a 10 of hearts card at the bottom of the pool. The couple tied the knot in Dec. 2018, and announced their split last month after seven months of marriage. Watch the video for "Slide Away" above.
