New Cast Promo Photos For the Final Season of Lost 2010-01-05 12:30:30

What Are Your Theories For the Final Season of Lost?

We're less than a month away from the premiere of Lost (on Feb. 2), and I'm already racking my brain to hypothesize what's in store (the promos haven't exactly been forthcoming on details). Well, I have a special delivery for those of you who are as excited for its return as I am — brand-new cast photos to dissect!

ABC has released two different stills, which feature the Losties at a dinner table, a la da Vinci's The Last Supper. Both images place Locke in the central position occupied by Jesus in the famous painting, which alludes to Locke as Jesus to Jacob's godlike figure. That seems too obvious, though, so let's look deeper. The pic includes 14 of the show's players with one empty seat — for Jacob, maybe? But there are main characters missing, most notably Desmond, while presumed-dead Claire is back.

Also worth noting: it appears Sayid is standing in for Judas. If you're familiar with Judas's betrayal of Jesus, that's got to make you wonder . . .

I can overanalyze this to death, so tell me, what your theories for the final season? Any new predictions you'd like to make based on this new evidence? Check out both photos when you

.

I won't get started with my theories... But from the pictures, notice that Claire and Miles switch sides. And in one picture, Ben is outside the main group looking in, while in the top picture he is among the main guys looking down on Lock. I wonder if these placements could mean that depending on where Ben is and how he acts will effect whether Clair is good or evil (whether on Sayed (Judas) and Kate (bad person) or on the good side with people like Hurley, who seem like good people). Or vice versa, maybe depending on how Claire acts ... by her connection to Jacob, it will decide Ben's fate in terms of being among the Lostie leaders or just a follower. I think I'm getting carried away...Gosh I CANT WAIT!!!

i think the Juliet was successful in blowing up Jughead, but that her doing that is why the Swan station is mainly for entering the numbers every 108 minutes. i don't think they're really going to do any sort of alternate reality/paradox situation. Oceanic Flight 815 always crashes on the Island, there will be no landing in LA. i'm thinking that blowing up Jughead will send everyone back to their current time in 2007 & that's why Richard says he saw Jin die (when really he just got sent forward to 2007)i am very curious to find out what happened to Claire, since she just kinda fell off the show very suddenly with no explanation/concrete death. and Locke! is he alive or dead? Jacob's enemy guy took the form of Locke & those Ajira people (Ilana & that other guy) had the real Locke's dead body...

My theory for Lost is way too long to post here, but tarabra brings out some really interesting points. The first episode is called LA X so it will be interesting to see what happens to Flight 815.

I don't think you have to worry about them making a movie for LOST- the mythology is so complex that's it's hard for me to imagine how they could condense all that stuff into a 2-3 hour long movie.Anyway, I agree with parts of CG's theory. I definitely believe that the real Locke (aka dead coffin Locke) will be resurrected somehow.I also think that if Juliet was successful in blowing up Jughead and time course corrects, then Oceanic Flight 815 will safely land in LA. The people who Jacob touched will still retain memories of what happened on the island, and they're left with a choice of what to do with their futures. For instance, I think Doc Jensen brought this up, but how dramatic would it be if Sawyer sought out Juliet because he remembers loving her, but since Juliet wasn't touched by Jacob, she has no idea who he is.Anyway, my problem is reconciling the fact that there are essentially 2 timelines, and how they will resolve themselves back to one timeline. For instance, if Juliet was successful in blowing up Jughead, and Oceanic Flight 815 lands in LA safely, then does that nullify the current timeline with the Ajira flight? In other words, if the Oceanic flight lands in LA, then presumably Locke is still alive and wheelchair-bound. Oy, this is making my head hurt...I need a break.

i dont have any theory about Lost (i stopped thinking after season 3). But what i fear the most, is a "fake end"; i'll be disappointed if they leave clues... for a movie! Producers love to do that, not really ending a show and turning it into a movie. If it's the case, too bad, this show deserves a GREAT ending! Hopefully, there will be no aliens involved :p

well obviously Locke is thought of as a savior, the chosen one to the others. "what lies in the shadow of the statue" to which richard replied "he who will protect/save us all"Lockes body lies in the shadow of the statue. Somehow Locke will be resurrected...like christ...and conquer both jacob and jacobs nemesis stopping their games with humanity. I think Sayid will die because he is ultimately not a good person (torturer, tried to kill a child, has never done anything good for anyone but himself) I think Sawyer will die, because the man he killed in australia thinking it was the real sawyer Burkett, said "itll come back around" and when sawyer hears the whisperson the island..that is what they are saying....although that could also mean the good sawyer has done will come back around i suppose! Jack is connected to Jacob, because claire and christian are also. jacob in the bible was Aarons grandfather. Kate will hopefully die, she is "flawed" according to the island!
