One Direction's New Video Emotionally Confirms That "History" Is About Zayn

It's easy to assume from the lyrics that "History" is about one of One Direction's former flames, but the official video says otherwise. As the entire world is well-aware, Zayn Malik left the group last year, and One Direction is still healing form the loss. Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson cowrote the song, a single off Made in the A.M., and Payne has discussed that it is about "closure." Even so, it's never been more apparent that they miss the fifth member than in this nostalgic look back at their history together as a band. Prepare for vintage footage — and also tears.
