Paramount Studios May Kill Plans For Mission Impossible 4 2010-06-24 05:30:13

Continue or Kill: Mission Impossible

Tom Cruise may not get to make that final mission after all. Word is that Paramount is rethinking plans to make Mission Impossible IV. The deciding factor is rumored to be how well this week's release of Knight and Day does at the box office — meaning, the studio needs to be sure that Cruise is still a bankable star.

I've always enjoyed the Mission Impossible series, but I admit that I'm tired of seeing Cruise reprise his Ethan Hunt role — I mean, we know by now that no mission is really impossible. What do you think? Do you want to see more of MI, or is it time to put the series to bed?

I agree with #1 and #4...kill the Mission Impossible. I say get started on the new Star Trek movie.

I like the whole idea of Mission Impossible, but think there needs to be a fresh actor or more interesting storyline. I say "Continue!" :)

Tom Cruise's glory days is over. I'm not going to see the movie Knight and Day. It looks so typical. Who wants to look at Cameron Diaz giggling like a teenager and bumbling like a baboon, like she so often loves to do during her movies. Tom Cruise was only an okay actor before, now he just looks like he's trying so darn hard to get 15 minutes of fame back. There should be no more Mission Impossible movies. Hollywood needs to stop with all the remakes. Try something new on people. Make the movies that they think are so different that no one would like them. We may appreciate the difference.
