2011 may be just getting started, but TV network execs are already getting ready for the Fall pilot season. As the major networks sift through tons of pilots, they're also busy choosing actors in hopes to score the next big hit. The rumors are fast and furious (and, as we all know, nothing is set in stone until the pilots actually air), but here are a few big name actresses that might be showing up on your TV screen.
- Rachel Bilson was originally attached to star in Josh Schwartz's Ghost Angeles, but the pilot was nixed by NBC. Luckily, her friend and O.C. creator has her back — she's now on board for Schwartz's Hart of Dixie, an hour-long dramedy for The CW about a doctor from NYC who inherits a medical practice in the South.
- Zooey Deschanel is eying Chicks and Dicks, an ensemble comedy about "the sexual politics of men and women." (Um, aren't we bit overloaded with those at the moment between Perfect Couples, Traffic Light, and Mad Love?)
- Kerry Washington is teaming up with Grey's Anatomy mastermind Shonda Rhimes for ABC's In Crisis. The show will be based on the career of real-life crisis management consultant Judy Smith.
Like I said, the actors and shows are always subject to change, but are you looking forward to seeing some familiar faces back on the small screen next Fall?
