Russell Brand's New Memoir

Are You Interested in Reading Russell Brand's Book?

After introducing himself to American audiences playing a smug British rock star in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Russell Brand went on to host the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. Still, he's not quite yet a household name on this side of the pond.

So it's interesting to find his memoir on bestselling lists here in the States. Apparently My Booky Wook: A Memoir of Sex, Drugs, and Stand-Up is a good read, thanks to Brand's honest and humorous writings about his troubled childhood and struggles with addiction. America's eating it up!

So what do you think? Are you interested in reading this funny guy's book?

I have been a fan of Russell for a couple of years now, since his earlier days in radio, back in '06. I have also read this book, and it's good. It is a quick read full of stories and anecdotes, some of which are quite funny and others which are heart wrenching and poignant. This book is definitely worth reading.

I think this guy is hilarious, but #1, I would not want to read his book because I find him creepy and I'm guessing he is a big perv (the title makes it even more obvious), and #2, I really hate how "celebrities" think they are so important and that people will want to hear what they have to say (and, unfortunately, people do)...

He was awesome in Sarah Marshall! I was like, where did this guy come from? He was on Letterman a few weeks ago and was hilarious there too. I'll read it, for sure.

Maybe, I think so.... :rotfl:I saw a special with him, and I found him kind of intriguing. A little annoying at times, but interesting.

He's pretty funny. I think he just got a rough start here in the states with his debut at the MTV awards. He definitely didn't win any (female) friends that night as he cut off Robert Pattinson when it was his turn to speak for the Twilight promo. I'd definitely read his book. I've moved on.
