Sacha Baron Cohen's days of hiding behind one of his beloved HBO characters (Ali G, Bruno, Borat) are long over — but his career certainly isn't. The comedian is changing course for his next role, reportedly taking on the huge task of playing Freddie Mercury in the upcoming biopic about the Queen lead singer and the band's rise to fame. Cohen proved that he can sing in Sweeney Todd, but it's still undetermined whether or not he'll be trying to take on "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "We Will Rock You" himself. Personally, I think I'd rather see Cohen lip syncing than attempting Mercury's signature falsetto.
There's no denying that Cohen looks the part, but do you think he has the acting chops? I've always thought he was a gifted actor in spite of all the controversy he's caused over the years, so I can't wait to hear more about this one. Do you think he's right for the role?
