SNL Just Added One of Its Youngest Cast Members Ever

Along with the previously announced Michael Che, Saturday Night Live has added comedian Pete Davidson to its 2014-2015 season cast. Since Che was brought on to coanchor the Weekend Update desk only, Davidson is the only new featured player of the show's 40th season, and guess what? The Staten Island, NY, native is only 20 years old. That's right. 20. Years. Old. To be fair, he's not the youngest cast member ever. That honor goes to Anthony Michael Hall, who was only 17 years old when he was featured in 1985. Eddie Murphy was merely 19 when he was cast in 1980, and he became one of the biggest SNL success stories of all time. Davidson began his career in comedy at 16 as a way to cope with losing his father on 9/11. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is the beginning of another success story!

Check out Davidson on Jimmy Kimmel Live:

He also guest-starred on an episode of the YouTube series TAWK in June, and he's pretty funny.

Davidson even has maybe the most insane Twitter story you've ever heard.
