Hi, I'm Shannon Vestal and in Watch, Pass, or Rent we're looking at 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows'. Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law are back as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in this action sequel. This time they have to stop villain Professor Moriarty as he tries to incite a world war. If we can stop him we should prevent the collapse of western civilization. No pressure. Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law have the same great chemistry that they did in the original which makes this movie really entertaining to watch, but I really wanted more from the story. You do seem Excited? manic. I am. Verging on Ecstatic? psychotic. The mystery that Sherlock is unraveling could be really compelling, but the way it's told isn't engaging enough. It would be fun if you had a little bit more information so you can put the puzzle together with him, but instead it feels like you're just watching him do his thing and waiting for him to tell you exactly what he figured out. It's just frustrating as a viewer. Do you trust No. Did you just kill my wife? I timed it perfectly. One thing the sequel improves on is the action sequences. Director Guy Ritchie gets really creative with a lot of the fight scenes and they're just more exciting and he comes up with some stuff that's visually really cool. Oh Dear. All in all, the movie is too and really starts to drag and even though there are some new characters, they're underwhelming. Still, it is funny and if you enjoyed the first I think you will like this one. So I'm going to give it a 'rent'.
