Should Life Unexpected Get a Second Season

Tell Me Why Life Unexpected Should Get a Second Season

Life Unexpected wrapped its debut season last night, ending with a bang as Cate and Ryan finally tied the knot. The show has a well-rounded, watchable cast, and though sometimes it's a little too sweet for its own good, I certainly don't think it deserves to be on the chopping block like some other shows.

But alas, I'm having flashbacks to last Spring when Privileged was in danger, and eventually canceled. Maybe it's just not in the cards for the more wholesome family-type shows to last among the ranks of Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl. Normally, this is where I'd give you my own reasons why The CW should save the show, but I know there's a lot of Life Unexpected fans out there. So sound off: why do you think the show deserves a second season?

I love that it is original and has an incredible cast and writing. I also felt the same way about privileged so I hope these execs make the right choice this time and keep this show around!

I watched the first episodes of the show and i loved it! I don't have as much time to watch it now, so i didn't see how the season ended. I think Life Unexpected should get a second season because it can bring up topics that are important to talk about. It's a heartfelt show.

I agree with what everyone else said above. Life Unexpected is unlike any other show on TV now. The CW finally has a good, somewhat wholesome, show that is more realistic than say Gossip Girl and 90210. Stop resurrecting old shows and continue with the good new ones you've got!The storyline is great. I love that Lux, Cate and Baze just became a family. I think it would be sad for them to cancel the show just after that happened. Its a show abou family - whether they are traditional or dysfunctional - we all have different families and this show can teach a lesson about the importance of family - no matter what type they are.

I absolutely agree "Life Unexpected" should get a second season. I've watched from the premiere and it's gotten better as the season has progressed. It's an unconventional family unit, but the portrayal of all the lead actors make it intensely interesting and believable to watch. Most of all, I enjoy "visiting" with Cate, Ryan, Lux and Baze each week. Bring them back!

i really enjoy the show. it is nice to have something on tv that not only appeals to the teenage demographic, but also all of us in our late 20s that grew up watching kerr smith on dawson's creek and shiri appleby on roswell. and it is way more realistic (or as realistic as possible) than maybe gossip girl or 90210, where all the kids wear couture clothing to school and are partying it up at clubs on school nights.
