Sing "Little Boxes" Along with the "Weeds" Cast

Thanks to Pop Candy for reminding me that Showtime is running a very fun contest right now to support the third season of "Weeds."

One of the show's hallmarks is the "Little Boxes" theme song, which was written by Malvina Reynolds in 1962 and is performed by different artists at the start of each episode. Now, Showtime is looking for viewers to record music videos of their own version of the song; the winning submission will be aired on Showtime, and the creator will get $10,000.

To promote the contest, "Weeds" cast members have recorded their own versions of the song, which you can see on the contest site or on YouTube. A couple of my favorites are Romany Malco's rap and Tonye Patano's very earnest belting that goes all reggae toward the end. To watch them, read more
