TV Tonight: Gossip Girl

It seems like only yesterday we were being ushered into the swanky, salacious world of Gossip Girl. And yet, here we are in January, with only one little episode left before the show takes an unplanned, writers' strike-enforced hiatus. Oh, cruel world!

Tonight's episode wraps up the two-part arc that started last week — though, as Molly pointed out, there's not a whole lot besides the Blair/Chuck/Nate storyline left up in the air from part one. But that plot might just get a little messier, when Serena's spotted purchasing a pregnancy test by one of Gossip Girl's ubiquitous spies. Hey, between Knocked Up and Juno, 'tis the season of unplanned pregnancy . . . It seems, though, that the biggest fallout could be Blair and Serena ending up back on the "enemy" side of the frenemy line. Want to see what I'm talking about? I haven't read the Gossip Girl books, but I did read the summaries... and it sounds like during most of the series that Serena and Blair were more like enemies than friends. (Sidenote: I wish I didn't read all of those summaries because I don't like what happens to all of them! Hopefully, the show will deviate quite a bit from the books.)
