This is probably a little weird, but I get way more excited about "So You Think You Can Dance" than I do about almost any other reality show (and yes, that includes "American Idol"). In a battle between watching people hit an awesome high note or do an upside-down split, I'd take the upside-down split every time.
The show is back tonight for its third season, with the first of three nights of audition coverage from New York, LA, Chicago and Atlanta. The top dancers will be invited to a call-back week in Las Vegas, with the top 20 performers announced June 7. Then, on June 13, the dancers will start competing for our votes.
i almost always skip the audition episodes of "Idol," but I absolutely love them for this show — maybe because the judges are less mean, maybe because I'm more amused by bad dancing than bad singing. And hey, all the other Thursday shows are in repeats anyway. To see a video clip with audition footage and interviews with the judges,
