When it comes to A-list names, it doesn't get much bigger than Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. Following their collaboration on Charlie Wilson's War, the two are ready to reteam for the comedy Larry Crowne (Hanks has confirmed the news via his Twitter).
Hanks wrote the script and will also direct the film — a job that he hasn't taken on since 1996's That Thing You Do!. The story is said to center on a man (Hanks, obviously) forced to reinvent himself with a new career as he enters into the second phase of his life (anyone else sense a pattern happening in Hollywood with older men getting introspective, eg Up in the Air?).
I'm curious to see where Roberts fits in to all of this — a possible love interest? — but I can't wait to watch these two play off each other. Start placing your bets for award season 2012!
