True Blood Rolling Stone Cover With Alexander Skarsgard, Anna Paquin, and Stephen Moyer Naked and Bloody

True Blood Stars Get Naked and Bloody For Rolling Stone

Season three of True Blood is all blood and sex, and the new Rolling Stone cover pays homage to those themes. With stars Alexander Skarsgard, Anna Paquin, and Stephen Moyer completely naked except for a light bloodbath on the cover, the only thing that's more provocative is creator Alan Ball's quote about vampires, which obliquely knocks Twilight. Ball says:

To me, vampires are sex. I don't get a vampire story about abstinence. I'm 53. I don't care about high school students. I find them irritating and uninformed.

That's not the only Twilight reference from the True Blood clan, either; Moyer jokes about Robert Pattinson being hot — only after he hypothesizes rather graphically about why vampires are sexy. Check out the issue when it comes out, and until then, get a load of some of the photos now!

I personally don't see anything wrong with this cover. There have been plenty of other Rolling Stones covers with nakey people that stir up just as much controversy, why do you think they do it? Not everyone has the same ideas/morals surround sex and nudity. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I think Alan Ball's remark wasn't all that bad. In like every interview he gets asked about the similarities between his show and twilight and I'm sure it gets old after a while. It's a totally different story and tone and he's obviously not aiming it towards Twilights main demographic.

The reason why no-one from Twilight has said anything against or for True Blood is because they wouldn’t really dare. And I don’t think the Twilight lot even care about their franchise or have as much passion for the work they do in those movies as much as the cast and writers of true Blood do.It’s quite obvious for all to see.

JAFederer12, I applaud you for your courage in saying what many good people who don't believe the lie that all teenagers are sex-crazed morons who will whore around no matter how much we try to teach them better know and think. I have no problem with Alan Ball hating Twilight (I hate it too; it's really stupid and horribly written) or even disliking teenagers (they can be very annoying and are usually misinformed, however that's often because their parents don't care enough to teach them important truths), but to put down Stephanie Meyer's perfectly respectable message about abstinence is such a putz move.I'm really glad that I don't watch True Blood so that I don't have to support people like him...

Guess what, Alan Ball? While others may be impressed with this cover, I'm certainly not. Your attitude towards abstinence says a lot about you and what you think vampires should be all about. I mean, hey! Thanks for yet contributing to the message of dehumanized sex and over saturation of it in our culture, in Hollywood. I give credit to Stephenie Meyer & crew of the films for not going the route of just throwing sex in her series just because.... seems like a lot of writers (film, tv, books, and even music) think everyone has sex outside of marriage or need to include sex just to "make it a good story" or "interesting". It's like having the need to have people heads' ripped off in every scene. And, yes, the actors on this cover are good-looking. The only thing good there is too this cover.
