Video of Kanye West Apologizing On The Jay Leno Show

Kanye Apologizes on The Jay Leno Show — Forgive Him or Forget Him?

On the premiere of The Jay Leno Show last night, Kanye West agreed to do a short interview with Leno before his performance. He took the opportunity to apologize to Taylor Swift for grabbing the microphone out of her hand during her acceptance speech at the VMAs. West had previously said he was sorry via his blog, but his TV appearance seemed a lot more heartfelt — he even said he's going to take time off to think about his actions. On the other hand, this isn't the first time West has acted out and expected the world to forgive him after a few seemingly genuine apologies. Check out the clip below, and tell me what you think — forgive him or forget him?

I'm with Snookyx, Kanye referenced his mom anyway. And I don't believe his apology, because he didn't apologize directly to Taylor. She indicated on The View that he has not reached out to her. So until he actually speaks with her, I don't consider that an apology.

damn, 71% don't accept his apology? I always thought this site was a bit on the conservative side, but most of y'all must not be christian. I stand corrected. I agree with Anne and Cibele.

I definitely don't think Jay was out of line. This isn't the first time Kanye has had a ridiculous outburst. He acts like he is the authority on everything. It's about time someone is holding him responsible. I think if he looked at other situations and thought, "What would my Mom think of my actions" he'd be a lot nicer.

Yes he apologized but I don't think it was sincere. Like when he blew up at MTV and VMA's for not giving him the award that one year (he also got up onstage during that time), and then when he blew up on National Television during the fundraiser for Hurricane Katrina going on a rant about the President hating black people and that was why that happened. If it do something off the wall once and apologize- then okay we can move on but when you continue to be a grown man acting like a child and being so outspoken about it then shame on him and he doesn't deserve respect since he lakes so much of it.

Chris Brown almost destroyed Rihanna's face. That's something inexcusable. This event is blown out of proportion.

Kanye is damaged since his mom died, pulling the mom card was not right on Jay's part at all. Kanye is right though. He needs a break. Unforunately he won't get it cuz he is going on tour with Lady Gaga. So hopefully he gets whatever help he needs. He hasn't dealt with his moms death correctly

He's apologized, let's move on! It seems there is a huge trend to run people through the ringer when they've offended somebody. At least, I hope it's a trend.

Yes, I agree that he was in the wrong for what he did to Taylor. But I think he is truly remorseful. We are all human and all make mistakes. He does stick his foot in his mouth too many times, he needs to think before he acts, CLEARLY. And was un...der the influence of alcohol the night of the VMA's. I also think he has issues and needs help. I am still a fan of his and think that we all have done things that we have been ashamed of in the past. Thank God, as human we are all granted forgiveness for our sins. Matthew 18:35 (New King James Version)35 “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”

I'm willing to bet that Kanye didn't expect everyone, celebrities included, to react the way they have. If the reaction wasn't as harsh he might not think twice about an apology.

i don't think leno went to far with the whole "what would ur mom think", kanye is the one who first mentioned how his mom would feel in the blog post he put up

I felt awful for Taylor and no, he is not sorry. However the way people were talking about it, I thought he had cursed her out up on stage or something. So it's overblown but he's still an @$$

i get that he feels bad but come on - did he think that she really wouldn't get upset about it? he's like 'i didn't realize that i went too far until she didn't continue her speech after i handed back the mike.' really? come on kanye - that was SO unnecessary.

I don't see why everyone is so mad at Jay Leno. I don't think what he did was that horrible, and honestly, I'll put money on the fact that Kanye probably asked him to bring it up.

wow, what Leno did was way more stupid than Kanye's stunt at the VMAs.

Wow, annebreal. That was a nice input. I HATED when he did that, but we all need just to move on. Girl is doing fine, the whole world is talking about her now. What he did was nasty, but once someone apologize, it's fine in my book.

was jay leno trying to be dr.phil or something? kanye west just needed to come out and say sorry for interrupting taylor and get on with it. i agree his mom didn't need to be brought into it.

Co-signed anne! People need to seriously get over it, he didn't kill her Kitty, he made her the biggest talk of the week and helped her sell a few more albums. It is entertainment, gosh - she isn't curing cancer with her teeny-pop cheesy music! (and I actually like her and her songs more than I like Kanye and his songs). Don't bring up serious emotional issues like a mother who dies suddenly and fairly recently!

Okay, on top of being completely unfunny and therefore baffling me with being so successful so long, Jay Leno was landed on my shitlist bigtime for pulling the dead mother card. REALLY, Jay? In other news, the VMAs had spiraled into complete irrelevance - since they don't even show videos at all anymore - and hadn't had a good buzzworthy moment since Britney's stumbly performance, or Britney kissing Madonna, or Britney with the snake...really, Britney being on her meds has ruined the water cooler nature of the phony awards show, so I'm sure everyone's milking this moment for all its worth. But guys, it's a VMA award. The global economy's a wreck, we got wars all over, hell, Pam and Jim are getting married, get over it!!! MTV and Taylor Swift should send Kanye a fruit basket, and someone should smack Jay Leno for completely unnecessarily bringing up something that's an actual tragedy - the premature loss of his mother - instead of making a 19 year old millionaire pout over having her moment in the spotlight interrupted, which made the whole country love her, so clearly she's the real winner. Seriously, the dead mother card.
