The Walking Dead Has Been Renewed For a Sixth Season

AMC has renewed The Walking Dead for a sixth season! The fifth season is set to begin on Sunday, and though it's a very early renewal, it's not surprising. It's the highest-rated show in cable history, and season four averaged 18.4 million viewers per episode. "We could not be more excited for Oct. 12 as we share new episodes of The Walking Dead with fans around the globe," AMC President Charlie Collier said.
