What Do You Think About the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama?

Yet another shocker: Cherry Jones is the winner of the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama! She beat out Hope Davis, Rose Byrne, Dianne Wiest, Sandra Oh, and Chandra Wilson.

So far my Emmy predictions haven't exactly been spot on, and I totally didn't see this coming. What do you think about this win?

Cherry Jones is a WONDERFUL actress. I've seen her 1/2 dozen times on Broadway. I don't watch 24, but I did see Rose Byrne in Damages and she showed one emotion the entire season--the pissed off scowl. It got really old. I am so happy Cherry is being recognized for her talent. She is a talented and gracious woman.

unfortunately I haven't seen any of the other shows; but I did see 24 and I actually thought her acting was pretty bad - most of the time she was mediocre and there were some times where she was so unconvincing. I'm really surprised by this...

I thought she was great! Happy for her :)

I guess giving Grey's Anatomy some award would give the impression something was actually good in this show. But I feel bad about Chandra and Sandra.

I'm so happy noone from Grey's Anatomy won. Past season was awful. Bad writing and obvious acting.

I lost interest in 24 a while ago, so I can't say whether I agree or disagree with this win. Although, I can say I was pulling for Sandra Oh. She has consistently made Cristina one of my favorite characters on TV.

I was very pleasantly surprised with Cherry. The last season of 24 deserved even more awards, it was beyond genius.

HELL YES!! This takes a little bit of the sting out of Hugh Laurie's loss. Although, I had to laugh when the camera panned to him. That trademark scowl was there for all to see. :)

I was pulling for Rose Byrne, but I don't actually watch 24 so I don't feel comfortable saying Cherry Jones doesn't deserve this award.

Well, I appreciate the way the voters voted this year; oblivious to the popularity contests.
