sad music... it's pathetic, but i seem to wallow for a few days... my grieving period... it's part of my cycle i guess. then, i usually feel better and that's when i listen to booty mixes and it seems like i'm always in the mood to go clubbing... :) that's how you know my cycle is done.

i love DMB "Crash." it's not really sad, not really happy, just mellow. i also love CCR. and if i'm really upset, i'll listen to rap, like DMX. it's so angry.

"Lover, You Should've Come Over" by Jeff Buckley gets me every time.

I'm like Whip, I like to wallow. I tend to listen to something like Imogen Heap or Damien Rice. Or I'll listen to something slow and quiet like Joshua Radin. If that fails I just sit in silence. (hat sounds really depressing, really. :p)

Sad music that makes me want to cry.

sometimes sad or melancholy sounding music, but often I listen to "hopeful" music, so I can't really say that it's "happy". Usually I put on Keith Green's He'll Take Care of The Rest.

I'm a wallower, so I listen to sad music when I'm sad. Or, if not sad music, then mellow music that's not necessarily sad, but is pensive. Like Kings of Convenience. It's mellow and delicate but usually lifts me out of my mood eventually.

U2, always. ('Pop' being my fav choice) When sad I always stay away from indie/depressed/sweet easylistening stuff (Coldplay's a big no-no for instance). The Killers' Hot Fuss always does a really good job at kicking my a**, too.

If I've got some time to spend on being sad, I'll listen to bright eyes, elliot smith etc. But if I'm trying to lift myself out, it never fails that either "aaron's party" by aaron carter, "y'all ain't ready" by kevin federline, or the partyboy song from jackass make me laugh and lift my mood.

i definitely start with sad music, and when it becomes too much, move on to happy music. i don't particularly like wallowing.

There's nothing like silence. I don't even really listen to music when I'm happy.

Depends on why I'm sad. If I'd like to forget about something, I listen to happy music.
