These New Quotes May Have Just Confirmed a Huge, Devastating Death on The Walking Dead

What TV Shows Are Getting You Through the Summer?

I've always thought of the Summer as TV's dead period, but in recent years, it seems like there are so many great shows to get us through the lull. True Blood is the obvious example, but basic cable series like my new obsession Pretty Little Liars have also been occupying my DVR. As if that's not enough, it's also a great time to catch up on older TV shows that I've been meaning to finally see. (I've got one friend who's finally getting into Freaks and Geeks.) So, as we wait for the debut of the new Fall TV series — and our favorite returning ones, of course — tell me, which shows are helping you pass the time?

Pretty Little Liars and repeats of The Vampire Diaries. Loved Freaks and Geeks! They kill all of the great shows, Twin Peaks was another one they killed off to soon. Saw Freaks and Geeks was on the other morning at like 3:30 am or something.

Of course, True Blood. Covert Affairs has also been pretty good. I've also been watching Teen Mom. Second season started last night and I also watched all of the first season on mtv.com.

Summer wouldn't be summer without SYTYCD. I'm also a die-hard Top Chef fan but the DC crew is just not doing it for me this year (still watching every week tho....). and the bachelorette (i heart roberto)

True Blood all the way! I think that Hung is pretty amusing too but I am over Entourage. The Bachelorette. Also, Food network (Cupcake wars) and TLC (Cake Boss) are great in the summer for some reason.

True Blood of course! Really haven't been able to get into Pretty Little Liars, much to my own surprise. Gossip Girl is just so superior. I have been watching Hung and Rome. Neither are good enough to interst me during prime television seasons, but they're not too bad to pass the time with.

The only show I'm religiously watching during the summer is So you think you can dance. I really admire the dancers, I so wish I could be one! It's very entertaining and they manage to show us different things every year.

True Blood of course, and Pretty Little Liars is great! I just started watching The Hills via MTV.com, I watched Laguna Beach skipped The Hills, and started watching The City when it came out..so I guess you could say I'm playing catch-up.
