The Real World is returning to San Francisco for its 29th season, and after you've stopped freaking out over how there have been almost 30 seasons of the reality show staple, it's time to think about the original SF installment.
It was only season three and reality TV hadn't yet been invaded by survivors, idols, or big brothers — it was just seven people, picked to live in a house and have their lives taped. One of those people was Pedro Zamora, an openly gay AIDS activist who opened the minds of countless people and died in 1994. His significant other, Sean Sasser, whom he met on the show, just died last month as well, but their memories are still alive and well.
