Which Book Do You Want to Read This Summer?

Tell Me the Book You Most Want to Read This Summer!

I'm already celebrating Summer with the movies in my Netflix Challenge, but I also have a hankering for something literary to bide my time. With so many adaptations in the works, there are plenty of reads to pick from — so much so that I've decided to start up my book club yet again. And I'd love for you to join me!

Starting next week, I'll be cracking open a brand-new book, but I don't want this to just be one of my choosing — I'd like for you to weigh in on which story you'd like to read first, too. Whichever gets the most votes will be declared the official winner (democracy at its finest, people). If you need a refresher on what they're all about, click here; then check back, as the book club gets going!

I just finished all 3 of Stieg Larsson's book (The Millennium Series) in less than 2 weeks. I wasn't able to put them down each time I started. Also, read Something Borrowed and a bunch of other books this summer. My next book is Water for Elephants. So far, I can see it's popular with many.

Voted for One Day, only because I've either read the others (all except the Griffin) or refuse to read the others (the Griffin). No option to vote for The Passage?

Reading "the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" now. It took me a while to get into it, but it's getting good.

Something Borrowed/ Something Blue are GREAT summer reads. I've actually read all of Emily Giffin's books that are out and they are all great... a nice "chick lit" read but with MUCH more emotion and depth. I thought Water for Elephants was very intriguing, and am actually looking forward to the movie version... the story is so visual I felt like I needed pictures when I was reading it.

pretty much all of the ones you listed above (i wrote them all down when you (or was it buzz?) posted that slideshow the other day and plan to buy them all soon) -- except something borrowed and blue because i've read them both (and loved them both) and recall exactly what they were all about and can't wait for the movie!

Water for Elephants was a great book. I totally don't get why The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is so popular. I dragged myself through it and then kicked myself for wasting the time when I finished it. Hmmm

I just picked up Something Borrowed and Water Elephants! Summer is my only chance for reading so I might read more of them!
