Which Merv Griffin Project is Your Favorite?

Merv Griffin — the media mogul who created "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune," hosted a popular talk show, and even had a hit song with "I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts" — died Sunday at age 82 after a struggle with prostate cancer. The man certainly left his mark on American pop culture (only recently, he created a crossword puzzle game show that's set to premiere this fall). Which of his well-known projects is your favorite?

Every story I read about Merv Griffin keeps reminding me of that episode of Seinfeld where Kramer turns his apartment into the set that he found in the dumpster! I keep hearing Kramer say "It's the Merrrrv Griffinnnn Show!" Makes me laugh!

I remember when Wheel of Fortune consisted of tons of random prizes and the contestants had to buy things from that mess with their winnings. Those were the days!

Jeopardy. But I heard him singing that song in a piece about his death and I could grow to love that, too! :D

Merv Griffin was a game show genius. I,too, grew up watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune as well as the Merv Griffin Show. His death from prostate cancer should prompt all of us to talk to the significant men in our lives about monitoring their health with recommended screenings. Simple tests can save lives.
