Bellatrix2 7 years Keira Knightly, she's been topping the drama business since "Pride & Prejudice". I always wonder how she manages to act these roles so well... And at such a young age too. melda 7 years Keira Knightley leeluvfashion 7 years Keira KristinDaBomb 7 years Reese, of course! hotstuff 7 years Angie in A Mighty Heart she's definitely getting an Oscar nod for that!!! AMAZING! californiagirlx7 7 years Angelina Jolie was amazing in A Mighty Heart! Abby2007 7 years i thought Keira, Anne, Reese were fantastic but i voted for Angelina she was incredible in the Mighty Heart. pinkflats 7 years emily blunt does not get enough media coverage, grantz. she is a great actress i think and you seem to agree too so kudos. remember those promos of rendition where at the reese would scream something like, "JUST TELL ME HE'S OKAY!!!!!!!" bad acting, bad acting there. Linda-McP 7 years Julie Christie was wonderful in Away From Her. She gets my vote! kersalli 7 years Halle in Things We Lost in the Fire was amazing but so was Amy Ryan in Gone Baby Gone. juju4 7 years Julie Christie is sweeping up awards for "Away From Her". It was directed by Sarah Polley (an actress, and this is her directorial debut). The movie wasn't widely seen, but I think that she will be a big contender during Oscar season. Grantz 7 years Up to this point I have 3 favorites: Kerri Russell- for "Waitress Emily Blunt - for "The Jane Austen Book Club" Halle Berry - for "Things We Lost in the Fire" Phasekitty 7 years It's slim pickings this year with strong female performances...I picked Kiera by default cos the movie was so awesome. ilanac13 7 years Kiera - hands down laneylaney 7 years i'm so bad! i must have seen a million movies this year and i didn't see any of these. i'm gonna go with cate blanchett as well, even though she was in a supporting role. SeptemberGurl 7 years Cate Blanchett in I'm Not Here. JLMac 7 years DC Star - have to agree with you on Anne Hathaway. The movie itself was a little drab, and Anne Hathaway kind of fell into that feeling as well. James McAvoy kind of stole the spotlight from Anne. JLMac 7 years I have a feeling if I had seen Atonement I would have picked Kiera Knightly (love her as an actress since Pride and Prejudice, I have a feeling Atonement will be an equally stellar performance) - however, to date, Amy Ryan's performance was flawless in Gone Baby Gone. misslarue 7 years AJ-she was amazing in A Mighty Heart. Zahara-Pitt 7 years Angelina Jolie Swen 7 years I picked Angelina Jolie. I thought she was phenomenal in A Mighty Heart. I haven't seen most of the other movies though. DCStar 7 years I do too Seraphim! She's phenomenal. I was very disappointed in Anne Hathaway's performance in Becoming Jane. Seraphim 7 years i LOVE meryl streep!!! :) Liss1 7 years I love Reese but have not seen that movie yet so i picked Amy Ryan she did an amazing job in Gone Baby Gone.
