Who Should Have Gone to Fashion Week: Rami or Chris?

At the end of Wednesday's first installment of the Project Runway finale, the judges chose the third designer who would get to stay in the competition and show a collection at Bryant Park. Stay tuned for my thoughts on the episode later, but for now, tell me: Do you think it should have been Rami or Chris? (I'm guessing there will be spoilers in the comments, so tread lightly if you haven't seen the episode yet!)

love Rami and Chris, but I think Rami is more marketable. I also loved Chris' laugh!

Rami!!! Chris' designs were too strange. I mean, human hair?

Chris totally should have went. Strange or not the fashion was definitely avant garde. Alexander McQueen has done stranger, imo.

I just looked up the collections on Bravo.com, and Sweet P and Chris still got to show their collections. Hooray! Weird though, I actually liked Sweet P's best out of the 5. The hair worked. It looked like fur.

I like both of them, so it was difficult to see one of them have to go. However, I think I saw some crushed velvet in Chris's collection, and I just have to say that crushed velvet is my least favorite of all materials. Including human hair.

It was a very interesting episode. I didn't wan't Rami to stay but oh well. He isn't going to win in the end anyway. That coat he made was hideous!

I wish we could see more of Chris because I love him, but his clothes didn't really wow me. They were kind of tacky.

CaterpillarGirl — Good call on Chris working for Cirque Du Soleil! and LOVE the "dreadfully normal" statement! Hysterical!

I fell asleep and missed the whole thing. Nooooo! I'm sad to hear that Chris lost though. I didn't thing he'd win the whole thing, but I was at least hoping he'd beat Rami and get to show his collection. I wish him the best, he's still my favorite.

I loved Ramis evening gown, not so much the "joan of arc" theming (i didnt see it reflected in the clothes) the jacket was poofaliscious. Chris just didnt impress me at all. The human hair wasnt so much creepy to me as it was "trying to hard to be creepy" does that make sense? the safety pins werent that great, he should have taken those hours and really looked at his collection and tweaked it. Some observations: --what the F was jillian wearing on her head? was that a hat? --I love the statement that jillian made about her mother going to some psychic and they told her that one of her daughters would be famous and "obviously" that was jillian...the other two are just going to be dreadfully normal. --Christian "making it work" in that teeny tiny apartment makes me love him even more. especially after I saw Ramis ginormous house and studio. --I think Chris March should go work for Cirque de soleil

RAMI! He had better designs. But I liked Chris answer to why should they go to bryant park.

The human hair was creepy but cool. I mean people put in on their heads all the time why not clothes. Overall, I liked Chris's designs better. Rami bored me, as usual. I hope Christian wins.

But then again Christian's feather pants were a bit out there too. I can't imagine that they would be flattering to any woman.

Yeah, the hair thing turned me off too. The safety pins were genius though.

I wish Chris would have gone more in the direction of his avant-garde & museum looks. He is so talented when he puts his energy toward looks like that. The human hair thing was obviously 'interesting' but a gimmick, which is why I think he got booted. I wonder if it were goat hair, would it have passed muster? Rami has never been my fav... he just seems so stiff to me and his pieces are definitely not as interesting as Chris's albeit more wearable. I think they made the right choice based on the looks they showed last night but I really wish we could have seen more of crazy Chris!

I agree that the judges haven't been consistent about what they want. Chris designs couture. His designs won't likely be great for ready to wear... but not all design houses do ready to wear. (The human hair didn't freak me out at all - he used extensions. It's not like he scalped someone for them. lol) That said, it was nice to see some growth from Rami. Of course, the nicest piece was still the one that incorporated draping.

the hair thing totally creeped me out.

RAmi, he bought his game on. eventhough chris collection was nice it wasn't practical and you don't really see a large cliente wanting to put human hair on the body besides their head.

I thought Chris's answer to why he should stay was much better then Rami's. I liked his clothes better too. Chris was Robbed.

it's funny - i was watching the whole thing and briefly fell asleep the second before they got to the runway..and missed the ending. based on what i saw in the comments above - i'm kind of happy to hear the end result. i think that rami has more innovation and chris is more costumey. his clothes were cool...but a bit weird..and the human hair thing really grossed me out. i loved tim gunn's analogy about the monkey house becuase it was so dead on.

There is so much I want to say about this darn episode! First of all, the judges haven't made it clear what they're looking for: commercial potential or couture? I thought Chris's pieces were like walking Gorey drawings, and with an internship under Jean-Paul Gaultier, he could be a star. Obviously, neither Chris nor Rami is in the same league as Jillian or Christian and I REALLY hope Jillian wins. Good god, do I want to wear her clothes. I am kind of disappointed, because all this time I thought she was Jewish... and that hat was hideous. Looking forward to the finale though.

i mean, mind you I dont think chris would have won...and I hope romi doesnt...but Chris just seemed to be a better choice. When asked why they should show, Romi said so doors would open and chris said so the fashion world could have a different view point. much better answer from chris. romi is just in it for the wrong reasons and chris is in it for the right ones. I thought chris should have gone just because of that.

I have been a chris fan the whole time and i was sad to see him go the first time and i am mad he went this time because I think he is so much more talented than Romi in my opinion. I think I want Jullian to win since she is the only one of the three that i can still stand.

Rami is going and I thought he was going to make it too. Chris' designs were kinda weird with the human hair. I don't know if I can ever imagine it being a hot commodity. I rootin for Jillian to win it all though.

The human hair kinda wigged me out.
