Who Should Win the Emmy For Best Actor in a Drama Series?

Who Should Win the Emmy For Best Actor, Drama?

With Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston out of the Emmy race this year, the category for best actor in a drama series is definitely the one to watch. You probably recognize most of the faces who are up for nods (three of them have been nominated four times!) but now it's time to pledge your allegiance to one of these men.

Both Jon Hamm of Mad Men and Michael C. Hall of Dexter have been nominated four times with no wins, while Justified's Timothy Olyphant is an Emmy newbie. Steve Buscemi is also earning his first nomination for Boardwalk Empire, and he's one to watch since he took home the Golden Globe earlier this year. House's Hugh Laurie has racked up four nods with no trophy to speak of, while Kyle Chandler lands in the category for the second year in a row for his work on Friday Night Lights.

It's anybody's game, and we can't wait to see who will earn the trophy for the first time. If you were an Emmy voter, who would you choose — and why?

I've seen all of Mad Men and all of FNL and while I thought John Hamm was terrific as Don Draper, he can't say a dozen different things with just a look, like Kyle Chandler can. However, I expect Hamm will win because he cried in his submission, while Chandler only blinked back tears a couple of times. (which is actually more believable for a guy, and not drunken crying, but it doesn't film as dramatically)

I hope Kyle Chandler gets it so FNL can go out with a bang.

Kyle deserves it, that's for sure. He has been superb the entire show as Coach Taylor. But I won't hold my breath for him either. So I will bet for Buscemi, he deserves it too.

Steve Buscemi will likely win and I'm okay with that. Although I love Jon Hamm, I can't friggin' stand Weiner-face so I hope Mad Men loses everything. While I'd love to see him get his due, I won't hold my breath for Kyle Chandler. Same for Timothy Olyphant.
