Bill Murray is one of Saturday Night Live's most famous alums, having shared the 30 Rockefeller stage with comedy heavyweights like Steve Martin and Chevy Chase in the '70s and '80s. In the 1990s, Murray started exploring more serious fare with roles in movies like Cradle Will Rock and a big-screen adaptation of Hamlet, but it was his touching turn in 2003's Lost in Translation that really transformed him into a dramatic powerhouse. The movie earned him a Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Independent Spirit Award, not to mention an Oscar nomination.
