7 Things We Just Learned From Game of Thrones' Eugene Simon

With days left until the season six finale of Game of Thrones, we're sopping up every damn detail we can about what's going to happen on the last episode. We got the chance to speak with Eugene Simon, who plays Lancel Lannister on the show, and he teased some juicy tidbits about what to expect. Here are his most interesting answers from our grill session — plus, find out if Cersei still has a chance with Lancel! (Just kidding, she definitely doesn't.)

01
Do you think Ramsay got what was coming to him?
HBO

Do you think Ramsay got what was coming to him?

"Ramsay had a lot coming to him. You could have probably held it out over the next six seasons to have had Ramsay get what he deserved."

02
There's a theory floating around that Sansa is pregnant. Thoughts on that?
HBO

There's a theory floating around that Sansa is pregnant. Thoughts on that?

"That's a very disconcerting but rather interesting theory. I certainly wouldn't put it past the writers. That could change things quite dramatically."

03
What can you tell us about the finale?
HBO

What can you tell us about the finale?

"You will be seeing Lancel Lannister in a big way in episode 10. The episode is already going to be a very climactic ending to a very, very climactic show. I'm excited for people to let us know how many of their fan theories have come true . . . It will be hard to compete with the level of violence and medieval warfare [in episode nine], but our goals for episode 10 are not to try to outdo the violence of episode nine, we're far more about character shock therapy. So that's what you can expect."

04
Does any part of Lancel still hold a torch for Cersei?
HBO

Does any part of Lancel still hold a torch for Cersei?

"No, no part of Lancel holds a torch for Cersei. He is totally and entirely opposed to her. Literally zero percent. He's very aware of the evil of King's Landing. He's seen it very well, albeit from a very naive perspective, but he's also grown up in the Lannister household, so he knows how they work. He understands their Machiavellian attitude toward power, and he doesn't want to be a part of it. In some ways, he's thuggishly opposed to it."

05
Should Lancel trust the High Sparrow?
HBO

Should Lancel trust the High Sparrow?

"I often ask myself how much Lancel and the High Sparrow are in it to get social change, rather than because they are actually religiously devout. Lancel is definitely under the belief that the Gods guide his every move, but the High Sparrow, I don't think so. I think he's very effectively using religion as a means to instigate social change. He seems to be simply too clever and too manipulative and too aware of the human condition to think that the universe is really about the gods."

06
What would Lancel do if the Faith Militant was abolished?
HBO

What would Lancel do if the Faith Militant was abolished?

"Hypothetically if it were to happen, I would see Lancel stepping forward and going straight to Jaime. He would still maintain his religious fervor, because so much of Lancel now is about not losing faith. To maintain that, he would have to go straight to Jaime and tell him what he thought of Cersei, and what she was really like."

07
What would it take for Lancel to snap out his allegiance to the High Sparrow?
HBO

What would it take for Lancel to snap out his allegiance to the High Sparrow?

"A locked-in conversation between his father and him would be certainly something that I have a feeling might sway him, because Lancel is ultimately very, very alone. Who knows? Maybe we will get that conversation between father and son."
