Phillip Lim decided to name his ideal woman this season, so meet Soleil, the lady of Fall 2014. The designer described her as "fun and culturally curious" in his show notes, and we have to admit that if this is her wardrobe, we'll have what she's having. Softer violet and mint mingled with fuchsia and ochre in boxy shapes, including patchwork shearling jackets that are right on trend for the season.
And with 3.1 Phillip Lim becoming increasingly known for its accessories, the variety of bags got bigger and better with slogan-laden totes and a sharp new clutch shape. And eveningwear took a surprisingly amped-up role with tuxedo vests over a glittering skirt and a full-on red carpet gown in black with sheer inserts. After all, Soleil can't just live by the coolest day separates alone.
