Designer Spotlight: Ace&jig

Here's a little story about NYC brand ace&jig: Almost 10 years ago, two NYC fashion design interns, Cary Vaughan and Jenna Wilson, met and hit it off. What did they bond over? Antique textiles. In 2004, they launched LaROK, a multimillion-dollar company, but left it in 2007 to start families. That brings us to right here, right now.

The duo has come back together to create seasonless pieces based on one fabrication. They've traveled to India to find their ideal manufacturer — one that has an ancient hand loom on site — so they can work with the weavers one on one. Stripes are one of their patterns that remains a constant throughout their collections because they feel stripes provide an endless source for reinvention. Agreed.
