Alexa Chung is known for her quirky, cool ensembles, and yesterday she styled an outfit that we'll definitely be emulating. For the launch of the British Designers Collective in England, she selected a floral-print, A-line skirt from Celine's resort 2012 collection. In true Alexa fashion, she put a playful spin on her look with a "je t'aime Jane" top, that actually plays homage to another iconic style-setter, Jane Birkin. See how this It-Brit expertly toughened up her florals in today's Fab Flash! On Allison McNamara: H&M top, Banana Republic necklace.View Transcript »
Hey guys, welcome back to Fab Flash. I'm Allison McNamara and today we're loving Alexa Chung's springy florals. So it's almost spring and Alexa Chung delivered a cheery outfit that's perfect for transitioning into warmer days. Alexa is the British Fashion Council's latest young style ambassador and she stepped out to launch the British Designers Collective in England. For the event, she chose a sweet floral celine skirt from their resort 2012 collection and toughened it up with a cool long sleeve sweater from Bella Freud. The story behind this top is so cute. The Je t'aime Jane pays homage to another style setter Jane Birkin and her legendary love affair with Serge Gainsbourg. A good way to temper soft floral prints is to pair them with all black just like Alexa did. She capped off her outfit with patent loafers by Nicholas Kirkwood and a black quilted leather jacket. Laid-back but polished and quintessentially Alexa Chung. So take your cue from Alexa and pair your florals with black accessories. So what do you think of this trendsetter's outfit? Let us know below. I'm Allison McNamara, and I'll see you next time on Fab Flash, right here on FabSugar TV.
