There were lots of brilliant hues on the SAG Awards carpet yesterday evening, but the classic black and white gowns were what caught our attention. Angelina Jolie and Emma Stone were just a few of the ladies donning black for the evening, while Zoe Saldana, Rose Byrne, and Viola Davis nailed it in gorgeous white ensembles. Watch today's Fab Flash to see all of these show-stopping looks. On Allison: Alexander Wang top from FORWARD by Elyse Walker.View Transcript »
Hey guys, its Allison McNamara and in today's Fab Flash we're highlighting all the gorgeous black and white gowns at the 18th annual Screen Actors Guild awards. We saw some bold and beautiful colors last night at the SAG awards, like Jessica Chastain in electric blue, Emily Blunt in bright green, Julie Bowen in fuchsia and Michelle Williams in a red lace Valentino, but it was the classic black and white looks that really left an impression. Angelina Jolie stepped out in a sexy, black, liquid looking, halter Jenny Packham dress, with beautiful draping. This looked fabulous on Angelina, who pulled back her hair to show off some gorgeous gold and black House of Lavande earrings. Emma Stone also went for black in a sweet, tea length Alexander McQueen dress with beautiful embellishing on the top. She pumped up the look with an Alexander McQueen knuckle clutch with stand-out gold hardware and contrasted it with amazing ankle-strap heels also by Alexander McQueen. On the white side, Rose Byrne took a fashion risk in a white beaded Ellie Saab jumpsuit and we think it totally paid off. Her sleek bob was the perfect accent to this directional jumpsuit, and we like how the deep v-neck line shows off a hint of skin. Rose mentioned she tried on this same jumpsuit 2 years ago but went for something else instead. This time around she played off the 70s inspired haircut and went for the bold look. Zoe Zaldana is another one who went for white on the red carpet. And we can't get enough of this shimmery metallic Givenchy number, which made its debut only a few days ago on the Givenchy runway at Couture Week in Paris. The drop waist, crystal collar, and shear top give this top an edgy-meets-romantic feel that we love. Viola Davis accepted the award for Best Lead Actress for her role in The Help in a gorgeous white Marchesa gown. The goddess-like dress was accented with golden embroidery at the bottom, and she complimented the look with a bronze clutch. We think all of these stood out in classic black and white on the SAG red carpet. Which look was you're favorite? Let us know, and also make sure to check out our entire recap of the show. I'm Allison MacNamara and I'll see you next time on Fab Flash on Fab Sugar TV.
