Ashley Benson Only Has 1 Major Regret While Filming Pretty Little Liars

Of all the characters on the series Pretty Little Liars, Hanna Marin — played by Ashley Benson — had the most steal-worthy style on set. Even Ashley herself wanted to take home pieces from her character's wardrobe. In an interview, however, the star revealed that when the show finally concluded after seven years, she wasn't able to sneak away any of the clothes.

"They didn't let us take anything!" Ashley said. "I was really excited to take her clothes. But everything is owned by Warner Bros., so we couldn't really do much there. I was so sad."

Although she was bummed about the missed opportunity, Ashley also revealed her current '90s obsession was inspired by that of her alter ego. And, as any PLL fan knows, everyone can take away some fashion lessons from Hanna. Just check out her outfits ahead, then read up on Ashley's thoughts on the ultimate '90s trend: the choker.

“I really enjoyed all her stuff because it’s been super cool vintage designer pieces, like vintage Chanel or Gucci,” Ashley said. “I would never be able to find them on my own, but Cameron Dale, our wardrobe stylist, goes to all these cool outlets and vintage stores and comes back with these amazing pieces. I was always the one who got to wear cool stuff, so that was really awesome.”

“I’m super into the ’90s right now,” she said. “I love going into vintage stores and finding cool purses or different shoes or sweaters. Two years ago I found this vintage Chanel purse at a store in Santa Barbara that looks like a small wicker basket. And I just collect a bunch of vintage Levi’s with different rips everywhere.”

“Chokers are really rad, but it sucks because it feels like now everyone is wearing chokers,” Ashley said. “It’s kind of done so I’ve stopped wearing them for a little bit.”
