It's nothing new for a paragon of American design to be inspired by, well, America, but Tommy Hilfiger's Fall 2014 collection took its cues from a specific area: the mountains. Hilfiger's "American explorer"-themed offering was an outdoorsy and rugged departure from the chic, soigné clothes other designers have presented in New York. Speaking of eveningwear, Hilfiger has a definite opinion of what he wants to see at the upcoming Academy Awards.
