Starting next Monday, your (and our) online shopping outlook will be enhanced tenfold. The reason? Barneys New York is launching a permanent barneyswarehouse.com website. As in, what once was a biannual all-out designer markdown battle of wits, strength, and style savvy will soon be available to us 24/7. Now, no matter where you live (right now there are only 13 outlet stores nationwide), you'll be privy to past-season sale items, discounted to up to 75 percent. "I certainly think this could be our biggest store," said Barneys Executive Vice President Daniella Vitale . And with all this talk of "liquidation" ecommerce, and the obvious excitement that comes with the iconic retailer's move into the digital outlet space, we can't help but hope that this factory fever (J.Crew announced its full-time J.Crew Factory site back in October) continues to grow. Do you think the burgeoning trend of online markdown oases actually prompts us to shop more? Or is it merely the idea of having a more affordable (and accessible) option that makes this news all the sweeter? Weigh in below.
