Pack Away Your Minis: This Week's Best Dressed Do Demure Just Right

Sep 20 2013 - 12:45pm

From Jennifer Aniston [1]'s soft gray Vivienne Westwood Couture gown at the Toronto Film Festival and Kerry Washington in her hot pink Halston Heritage number to Gwyneth Paltrow [2]'s fresh-as-ever white Lanvin dress at the Thanks For Sharing LA premiere, we were hit with some stunningly ladylike dresses this week. From fuller skirts to midi hemlines, we liked the departure from Summer's minis! But those aren't the only stars who got the demure dress code right. Without further ado, head inside to experience them all for yourself.

Gwyneth Paltrow [3] looked fresher than ever in white at the LA premiere of Thanks For Sharing. She chose a fit-and-flare Lanvin dress and minimalistic black ankle-strap sandals for the occasion.

Blake Lively [4] made an unmistakably stunning debut at Milan Fashion Week wearing a formfitting halter Gucci number.

Kate Bosworth [5] ditched her denim for a sleek black Stella McCartney dress, livened up with lots of shiny jewels, at the Bvlgari retrospective opening at the de Young Museum in San Francisco.

When Cate Blanchett [6] and Prabal Gurung meet, the result is nothing short of fabulous. The actress pulled off a flirty feathery dress from the designer at a Milan Fashion Week soiree.

Kerry Washington popped in a major way in a hot pink Halston Heritage tiered dress, stark white Brian Atwood pumps, a matching Nancy Gonzalez clutch, and Joan Hornig earrings at the Primetime Emmy Award Nominees event in Hollywood.

When Jennifer Aniston [7] slipped into a gray Vivienne Westwood Couture dress at the Life of Crime premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, we could not stop staring, especially at that gorgeous bustier top.

At the 2013 New York City Ballet Fall gala, Sarah Jessica Parker [8] stole the show in her ballerina-inspired pale pink ensemble — the top half was designed for her by Prabal Gurung and the bottom was by Olivier Theyskens.

We loved seeing Sienna Miller [9] in a moody floral Dolce & Gabbana dress and classic pumps at a Global Fund affair in London.

As if she's not bombshell enough, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley went ahead and showed us just how sultry she can be in a red lace tank slip dress at the Martini 150th Anniversary gala in Lake Como, Italy.

En route to support her husband Orlando Bloom [10] at the Romeo and Juliet Broadway opening, Miranda Kerr [11] strutted her stuff in a minty sheer J. Mendel dress, glittery Christian Louboutin pumps, and a Daniel Swarovski clutch.
