Best of 2012: Designer Collaboration of the Year

Designer collaborations showed no signs of slowing down in 2012. The most recent one we were excited to welcome was the big Target + Neiman Marcus holiday collection, which dropped Dec. 1. It delivered something for everyone: festive metallic Marc Jacobs clutches, an Oscar de la Renta dog collar, a chunky knit Rag & Bone cardigan, and way more. Before that came the envelope-pushing partnership between Martin Margiela and H&M, which was all about clean lines and off-kilter designs. Speaking of H&M, Marni also joined forces with the mass retailer back in March. It was a line filled with quirky prints and colors. In other news, Jason Wu and Target collaborated on a fun-loving collection in January, Nicole Richie brought her bohemian aesthetic to Macy's in August, and Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama created whimsical bags, clothes, and scarves for Louis Vuitton. All six sparked major interest in the fashion community, but which one made you the most excited? Make your decision below.
