The stars often use the wild red carpet at the MTV VMAs [1] as an excuse to push boundaries and prioritize shock value [2]. Still, we were pleasantly surprised with the sartorial showing from the night's most stylish stars.
Beyoncé made quite an entrance in a black lace and beaded geometric Nicolas Jebran dress, while Nina Dobrev [3] chose a sleeveless coral and black silk draped gown designed by Zuhair Murad. Gwen Stefani [4] looked positively perfect in a L.A.M.B. hot pink top and matching trousers. Also adding interest was Kim Kardashian [5] in a printed beaded Balmain minidress with a deep-V neckline and Solange Knowles in a boxy tuxedo (you won't believe how much it cost [6]). All the bold looks were winners in our book, but who takes top prize?
