Best Fashion Collaborations of 2010

Best of 2010: Favorite Fashion Collaboration

This year, we saw celebs, major designers, and favorite labels hitting department stores and chains in the form of fashionable collaborations. Among the standouts of 2010, Madonna brought her Material Girl to Macy's, Mulberry's classic handbags headed to Target, and Alexa Chung created a signature style line for Madewell. But that was hardly the end of it; closing out the year, Valentino brought its femme confections to Gap, and Lanvin for H&M took the fashion world by storm. Each crush-worthy collab delivered new looks to love, but it's time to cast your vote for the one that made you go gaga — what's the best fashion collaboration of the year?

Mulberry for Target. I have the black pebbled tote and it is amazing. It's huge and pretty and it has the cute postman lock. I find it extremely annoying and pretentious of people to say carrying a Target logo is bad.

the lanvin designs were on point, everything from the ads to the designs seemed to fit in with lanvin's overall vision. loved it!

Barf, all were horrible collections. Is the economy that dismal where we have to dress horribly too??

I'm torn b/t Lanvin and Alexa Chung. I agree with ladybird, she's slightly overrated, but I still can't resist her Madwell pieces.

Lanvin FTW! Not all the pieces were stellar (I just saw some returns at my local H&M today and the fabric on some of the dresses and coats felt scratchy) but an A+ for going all out with the design. Madonna for Macy's looked trashy, Mulberry for Target was insultingly cheap-looking (with the Mulberry for Target labels being the worst part), Alexa Chung's style is so overrated and as for Valentino for Gap well, all I can say is those pant ruffles are placed in a very unfortunate spot.
