Blue London High Waisted Jeans: Love It or Hate It?

I've got some news that may disappoint many: high-waisted jeans are on the rise. I just read something in Women's Wear Daily about it and I'm starting to see them out and about. This may be a jean epidemic for some, and a jean salvation for others. What do you all think about these Blue London High Waisted Jeans, found by jgasia in the Love it or Hate it? group. Love or hate this incoming denim trend?

Oh lord....well, I can live with myself even if I "don't know anything about fashion." This look is FUG with a a capital F. Terrible and it looks bad on EVERYONE.

Alright, none of you people know anything about fashion. I do .. and i know about it because i am in school for it. High waisted jeans are great for any shape as long as they are not painted onto your body. A straight leg dark wash high wasted jean looks great on curvy people and skinnier people. They do wonders for your thighs , butt, hips and waist. when your in the store try some on and do not be a know it all.

They don't even look good on that model!! Yuck! I think the only reason people will be wearing these is because someone said they are back in, all the fashion SLAVES not people that actually know what looks good. They are unflattering on anyone!

the only person that can pull this off is kate moss... and she's already over them.

i judge the types of clothes i wear by the timelessness i see in the peice. these pants look like they have a timeline of, oh i dunno, a minute?? ;p picture Audrey Hepburn wearing these. That's right. Only women of her calibur can probably pull these off even if it's just a little bit.

I have a short torso. Please, I mean please pray they don't get rid of low waisted jeans. They sit just right on me. I can't handle the waistline being below my bra line. I just can't. And these.....Ugh. I'm channeling Z Cavvarici's.

LOL @ lady- i cannot get enough of Borat!... I think i threw out a similar pair a couple years ago- that always happens... Well the ones in the pic are not that cute but when Kate moss wears them they look pretty good.. so maybe they are worth a try, at least a try in the fitting room- i certainly do need something to cover the love handles i acquired over winter break

mom jeans... that skit on SNL was too funny :rotfl: I hope everyone knows that just b/c I found these does not mean I like them... they were not a fab find for me... I think they are funny and that is why I put them in Love it or Hate it... the fashionista in me had to clear that up... ;)

The pleats wreck the look. I could live with the high waist and the wide band and the trouser cut, but the pleats scream "mom jeans".

Those jeans are horrible looking, but I'm sure they have better looking high waisted jeans. I think it's a good thing because I'm so tired of getting flashed by every girl's butt crack when they sit down in low waist!

Mom jeans! They are reminiscent of a certain SNL skit that was done. They look like something out of the early 90's and the pleats in the front are just so unflattering, poofy and Mom Jeanish.

It looks great on this model but I have 34 ins legs so it would ridiculous on me

The flared legs are atrocious, but I think that a GOOD CUT high waisted jeans can look cute on some people, aka tall & skinny people :)

I am not digging the pleats.

dig on the high wasted- but not this style (with the wide legs). It doesn't add to the figure, but the right pair could.

Not attractive. Not even in the least bit. All I can say is EW.

I'm undecided but only because I think they would look good on someone really tall, but they would look ridiculous on me.
