I say go for it. I for one like boots for year round. I live in Arizona and boots are a staple here whether they are for fashion of for work. And I must say, flip-flops are just ugly in my opinion. They are unflattering on your feet and they promote bad posture as they don't go with the curve or instep of your foot. If you must show off your toes get a pair of sandals or heels. 5 years i live in the tropics.. so I get to wear all the footwear i want all year round.. but summer gets pretty hot here so i leave my suede and leather boots out but still wear my cowboy boots with shorts, minis, or dresses:) 6 years Yes! I think if they are loose and go up mid calf. But if they are tight and almost go to the knee- leave those for winter! 6 years oops, typo...Appalachian 6 years I live in the Appalachaian Mountains. Cowboy boots, hiking boots, and work boots are ALWAYS acceptable. 6 years I think that specific boots work for specific seasons. You could totally pull off ankle boots during the summer. Another option is wearing mid-rise or calf-hight boots. These styles seem more usable during the summer because these would still look great (cute but casual) with a skirt or dress, and still have enough skin exposed instead of looking bundled up. For both styles, I would stay away from sued because it is more winter and could look a little awkward. I would recommend checking out those two styles from Aldo online for more inspiration, their styles are cataloged by different heights. I would definitely even visiting Urban Outfitters online. The great thing about UO online is you could look at the summer line of apparel and see how some styles are worn with boots, then follow up in the styles they have in their shoe category. blackhair88 6 years im goin on hol soon but am embarrassed as my ankles swell so i want to wear boots. Will people look at my silly if i wear them with skirts and dresses?? ksten 7 years i have off white ankle boots that i love to death... i plan on pairing them with shorts or minis this summer buffyrulez 7 years too hot in it. buffyrulez 7 years too hot in it. AMP 7 years Im definitely still seeing them on girls here in LA. Sometimes its kinda cute with a breezy dress. But only a casual, flat boot, nothing high heeled and fancy. KandiQTC 7 years maybe tan or white boots, but dark brown or black would seem too "heavy" for a lot of summer clothes, to me. krob 7 years I live in the south. It's TOO freggin hot for that!! JaimeLeah526 7 years It's pretty chilly here in the summer sometimes but boots in the summer is still a big no no. Mintie 7 years i say wear whatever the hell you want... as long as it's flattering lindaloo 7 years Don't tell Britney not to wear her Uggs in the summertime! poetess 7 years Fashion has no rules. I say if someone feels like wearing boots, go for it! jaxon 7 years Who'd want tosandals and pumps are just too much fun. I hate shoes and socks so sandals are the next best thing Miss-K-Smith 7 years well here in Canada it can get a little cold haha actaully our summers are very nice and warm.. but it all depends on the boots and how they are worn.. like cowboy boots with a skirt or shorts is cute.. but like winter style boots.. would look funnY!! haha.. soo i think it all depends on the style and how you are going to wear them Savvy1 7 years If it is a sunny day then no, I don't find it acceptable at all. Auntie-Di 7 years Depends on one's climate, who the hek would want sweaty feet in the HEAT? xo_verity 7 years No way! Unless you live in an igloo... gruaig_rua 7 years Well at the moment in Ireland the weather is absolute crap so have had to relegate the flip-flops to the back of the wardrobe :(Hey RaRa my brother and his girlfriend are in Las Vegas for a few days and said they have never experienced heat like it.
